Revenue measurement for billing

Revenue measurement for billing

The active distribution grid becomes more and more real and drives the installation more decentralised power producers like wind parks, pv-parks and small decentralized combined heat and power plants. This units are operated by 3rd party companies/people or by the utility itself. In any case, the transmitted power needs to be measured as accurate as possible to maintain a right billing process intern/extern.

Current sensors from GWP could be built with class 0,2S and 0,5S and voltage sensors with class 0,2!

This classes are commonly used in revenue measurement according to IEC61869-10 “passive standalone current transformers” and to IEC61869-11 “passive standalone voltage transformers.

GWP sensors have a great price-competition ratio for this use-case, furthermore the huge problem of burdens, which are too high (power measurement is smaller) or too small (power measurement is bigger) is effectively solved due to the burden is “inside” the current sensor, which produces only a voltage potential.
